Do you actually need the phoenix version with the correct connector soldered on for the A1000 phoenix board? I bought a regular Buddha flash but it was labeled as a phoenix version even though the phoenix connector isn't soldered in place.

The regular buddha flash is a bit easier to find than the phoenix version. You could still buy them new from amigakit but they are out of stock right now. Vesalia do have them too for $100AU: http://www.vesalia.de/e_buddha.htm
