Amiga 500 Pin Header Part Number

Hi all. I replaced the Amiga 500 expansion port with a new 90 degrees pin header, but I'm having some problems with memory expansion connection. The new pin header looks like 1mm smaller than the original from Amiga.

So, there is a part number for the original Amiga 500 pin header? On Mouser or Digi key? Will replace it again. Thanks!

Hi,

This should be the correct one:
https://www.mouser.co.uk/ProductDetail/710-61306421021

It is from A500++ BOM and I can see having bought this before for A500 corroded Expansion Port replacement.

This one is too short, and is probably similar to the one the OP is looking to replace. It probably works fine for some expansions, but not for others depending on the connector and spacing they use.

This looks to be an alternative with 8mm contact length.

I measured the length against an original (A5000 rev6) expansion port header and the difference is about a millimeter.
The part I linked seems to have exactly 6 mm long contacts and the A500 MB one seems to have 7mm long contacts.

I hadn't even noticed before that the one I linked is indeed shorter

I have have no issues with any expansion I've tried, but then again I have not tried them all.

Just to explain. The installed pin header was totally green due varta leak. So I replaced with a new one from a store here but after this the A501 started to have problems. From 5 RAM Expansions, only 2 worked well with some games that I use to test. So I asked to find new pin header 'cause I will buy some. So, I got a pin header from other Amiga 500 to replace this small one. On the picture you can see the difference. Thanks for all!

Thanks for the picture.
That really seems to be huge difference in size.
