Magicland Dizzy

This one is from the compilation The Bix Six and is no different than the ECS version.
About Cedric and Superfrog: I'll ask if there's not a more elegant solution to label an entry as 'Works on any Amiga with a CDROM drive and enough RAM as well as a CD32'. For now I changed Cedric to include OCS/ECS, so that it is clear that it is not an AGA version.

About Magicland Dizzy: I personally think that entry should be deleted. It's only there for the Big Six compilation and the reason is most likely because somebody thought that there must be a AGA version if there's a CD32 compilation with it.

Thank you for bringing those games up

Ok, so I added another dbs that is missing - Bundesliga 3000 https://hol.abime.net/5717

Now, this is not really a video game, but a sports predictor, so it would be good to make a new section Utility - Predictor

More games that fall in this category:

Coursewinner
https://hol.abime.net/4201

Big One, The: Lotto Systems Manager
https://hol.abime.net/5442

Punter's Revenge
https://hol.abime.net/4942

Soccer Expert: Season 1994-1995

I have uploaded screenshots for Teenagent ECS and Teenagent CD.

Also, I added screenshots from an early version of Monkey Business, that resurfaced this year (not the one in HoL).

Teenagent run also with OCS chipset installed on Harddisk (kickstart 1.3 and Workbench 1.3):
512k Chip RAM and 1 MB Slow RAM (no music in background)
1 MB chip RAM and 1 MB (slow RAM) (music in background)

i have tried in emulation, but it should be run also on real Amiga 500 with Harddisk

Thank you for testing it It also runs from floppy with the most common A500 quickstart in WinUAE. The boot screen even says (as good as I understand Polish ) that you need 1 MB chip RAM for music. Changed the chipset and added a note to the entry.

Thanks NPI! I'll take care of them since I generated the existing HOL entry for Monkey Business V2. I'll probably create a separate HOL entry for Monkey Business V1 and link the two entries with the "updated version" relationship. I'll need to chase up AMike(?) too and see if he can scan the game manual for HOL.

@TCD
Leave this one to me please. Thanks.

Okay, the idea is this: If a game runs on any Amiga with a CD-ROM drive it's just 'AmigaCD'. Only if it won't run on either AGA or OCS/ECS the relevant information is added. So Cedric and Superfrog are now 'AmigaCD/CD32'

Thanks for your PM. I'd already downloaded your screenshots from the HOL FTP. I'll fetch out my previous research on V1 of Monkey Business and hope to knock up a new HOL entry later this week.

That's not how it was routinely done in the past IIRC. Doing it that way ignores minimum specifications. If we follow that logic, then we wouldn't bother listing OCS/ECS for A500 games that run fine on AGA machines also.

With the Superfrog CD re-release, it's the shovelware OCS/ECS floppy version released for the CD32 that has been liberated to work not only on the CD32 but also any CD-equipped Amiga. To not stipulate the min. specs of OCS/ECS with AmigaCD would be remiss. Better to tag the HOL entry with OCS/ECS, AmigaCD and CD32 and also specify min. requirements in the notes.

As for Cedric, closer scrutiny of the box/CD scans and manual has revealed no mention of the CD32 whatsoever except for use of the CD32 joypad to play the game. Consequently, I've removed the CD32 hardware tag from the HOL entry and made a note of this fact.

Okay, but the image of the CD boots with a CD32 config in WinUAE. I don't have real hardware to test it though.

The other changes are fine by me.

Yep, I know coz I own the game.....and is the reason why I made a note in the HOL entry that it's CD32-compatible (doesn't anyone read my bloody notes??!! ).

There are CDTV games that are CD32-compatible too (e.g. Defender of the Crown CDTV), but we don't apply the CD32 hardware tag to those games, do we, because the publishers never intended them for the CD32. Same goes for OCS/ECS games that are AGA-compatible (and in some cases have enhanced AGA versions). Same deal for games that list the standard A500 in the specs on the game box or in the manual, but work the same on standard A3000s with 68030 CPU. They're just happy, serendipitous occurrences that often are not by design. Hopefully you and others reading here get my drift. Anyway, it's way late here (after 6am) and I need to get 4-5 hours sleep before another work day at home. Will speak to you more in PM tomorrow (fingers crossed!). L8rzzzz!

About that: It would be great if for your next batch of your findings you could start a thread in 'HOL data problems'. I'll ask Cody to move the posts related to that over later. Just to keep things a bit more tidy

I'll get to those wonderful data disks in a bit. Thank you again for checking all those things

Interesting... I shall inquire about this black magic at once!

Edit: I updated the data disk 'has' and 'is' except for four cases:

Populous World Editor
Sim City Terrain Editor
See here: https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php...84#post1549184

World Class Leader Board Course Architect
World Class Leader Board Scenery Disk
See here: https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=97216
No idea why those two entries exist. Will ask about them.

So, I added in the ftp the ECS Tracksuit Manager 2: Season '96-'97 http://hol.abime.net/6470

Now, this doesn't qualify as an update, this is the data disk (even on the box of the AGA version says it's a data disk)

Same applies to the following entries:

Tracksuit Manager 2: Season '96-'97 (AGA)
http://hol.abime.net/4605

Tracksuit Manager 2: Season '97-'98
http://hol.abime.net/6468

Football Masters Version 5 96/97 Season
