That really smells...

Hey,

I have been using Raspi400 and Retropie/PiMiga for some time now, but the other month I drunkenly bid on an ebay auction for an Amiga 1200 with a Philips CM8833-II, and then totally forgot about it, untill I got the win notification - I really didnt think I was going to win that

I have had the machine now for a few weeks, and i'm falling into the rabbit hole. I have read all the threads here about real hardware vs emulation but just wanted to point something out...

The CRT has a distinctive smell that I had totally forgotten about. It's that smell more than anything that has got the nostalgia glands working. Totally loving this thing

Anyway, Hi EAB, new convert here, I will be lurking...

LOL.... Welcome to Erotic Amiga Board.

Are you sure that some capacitors are not boiling and creating odor inside CRT?

ps. New idea for product - old electronics spray, similar to that book spray jmmijo uses on his tablet.
