OK, I put my Top 5 in the zone. (my actual top 5 would all be from Beast, so I only put the best from each game/demo so there's variety)
You may say, "What the hell? A SID file?". I know I cheated a bit there, but it DOES play in EaglePlayer. (it was my favourite pre-Amiga music) |

hmmm, game tunes which come to mind first: it came from the desert (map), hired guns (main menu), lost patrol, all sotb-1 tunes, superstardust (esp map & a special mission dont remember the level), perihelion (excellent i think), narco police (those drums kick ass), blood money intro, supremacy intro (brilliant) settlers 1, speedball 2, and lots more
and im gonna name a few demo's here: lech, proziak, hallucinations & dreams, desert dream (masterpieces, prolly both my all time #1's), maximum overdrive 2, roots 2, indigo, and again, lots more then there's an unidentified 'alienmenu.mon' file on my harddisk, its got no additional info in the sample-bank or elsewhere. i suppose its a soundmon file. it's only 41,830 bytes, runs for 4m42s, it kicks ass, and when i play it today using surfsmurf's oldskool winamp plugin, it sounds remarkably clear on my 5.1 dolby system edit: and oh yeah, this one cracktro from the late 80's: world of wonders Last edited by hardwir3d; 17 March 2005 at 03:41. |

Although I'm of course biased, this is my favorite Amiga music (all mods playable with DeliPlayer):
http://www.deliplayer.com/pub/team_hoi_music_mods.zip Next to this I always loved Tim Follin, but a number of his tunes have become a bit too vivacious for me in the course of time. But the title tune of Ghouls 'n' Ghosts Amiga remains a classic. Cheers, Metin |

Oh, I almost forgot: Frédéric "Moby" Motte. He is a maestro of the same caliber as Ramon Braumuller and Tim Follin. He did the fabulous music of Fury of the Furries, the Arte demo and much more.

@hardwir3d: What's with the format of that file?
"*.MON" I've tried it only with Modplug Tracker and it just doesn't load it without any sign... --== EDIT ==-- Strange, strange... WinAMP loads it without any problems, probably using the mod plugin i've installed centuries ago... ow, well... still hope it'll work on my Amy |

I just played the 'alienmenu.mon' on my Amiga with EaglePlayer. You just need to make sure you have the 'SoundMon' or 'SoundMon 2.2' player loaded. (I think both are included in the EaglePlayer archive)

@sw2001
Thanks for uploading your 5 favourite tunes, but I can't open the archive - I'm using a real Amiga. Can you put it in a zip, lha or lzx? (or tar.gz, or hqx or sit or anything other than rar??) |

I put four more great mods in the zone. They are in executable format (Amiga executable that is) and don't require a player. Three of the mods I edited (well..butchered ) - I removed some blocks I didn't like and so I can keep the mod playing in a loop. (I apologise to the original composers) Last edited by mr_a500; 22 March 2005 at 01:55. |

For those of you who use Winamp or Xmplay I really recommend this site. http://support.xmplay.com/Plugins_input.html I really recommend you to download the Oldsk00l MOD plugin and the TFMX plugin. |
