Pfsaio on amiga os 3 2
Hi there. I'm trying to update the filesystem to pfsaio on my a500+ with aca expansions. Everywhere I read you have to add the scsi.device to the devs folder on the disk and later manually add the fs when partitioning and formatting. Is this still true for 3.2 and if so, where can I find the scsi device?Aminet is showing lots of patches, but it seems as if the original scsi.device is a part of the OS.
Tnx in advance for helping me out here ... |

I can't speak specifically about PFSAIO as I don't use it, but about scsi.device:
scsi.device is part of the Kickstart ROM. If you have an old Kickstart it gets upgraded in RAM by OS3.2 during boot, the same as other Kickstart modules. OS3.2 scsi.device should not need any third-party patches. |

The built-in scsi.device that comes with AmigaOS 3.2 is probably the best choice for most users. The guides you're looking at are most likely thinking of OS3.1 or 3.9.
You can safely ignore that step and proceed with the rest of the installation. |

Hi there and tnx for the clarification. I was kinda expecting that it was indeed outdated instructions not necessary for 3.2 . I'm running with 3.2 rom, so no need for additional hassle then.cool cool cool...
