[Found: Lords of War] War between castles game

I'm looking for the name of a game which I think was a turn-based game, where you controlled a castle and there were at least one, but possibly three enemy castles on the screen, and if I remember correctly there was some skull or something bouncing against the walls of the castles, your goal was to demolish the other castles. I don't think it was an RPG but some kind of turn-based game nevertheless. For some reason I imagined the name was Warlords but that was not it (Warlords is a medieval strategy game). Any ideas?

Not a turn based game but Lords of War fits your description almost perfectly.

You're welcome. I loved that game back in the day and wasted a lot of time (together with a friend of mine) playing it.

Thus I remembered it immediately.

Just as a quick aside, the game looked very familiar, so I fired up MAME... and it's an update of a 1980 arcade game by Atari, also called "Warlords"
