Help with Deuteros
Hello all,
I am involved in a project trying to remake Deuteros. Until now, the graphics ripping has been done using screenshots. However, I've hit a problem now. I'm trying to rip the shuttle graphics. They are transparent, and the background they are shown against is rather uniform, consists of only three colors, and two of those figure prominently in the shuttle graphic itself. Thus, my attempts to diff out the background have so far only resulted in a broken shuttle with tons of missing pixels all over the place. I thought the ideal solution would be to rip it directly from the game, but I haven't been able to make much progress. I've been messing around with both GfxRip and DeluxeGfxRipper, using both WinUAE memory dumps and .adf files, but so far I haven't been successful. I guess I don't know enough about how graphics on the Amiga actually work. If anyone can help me, or at least point me in a more productive direction, I'd be very grateful. |

Certainly
However, I'm not sure I need help anymore. I sought help in the IRC channel, and people were indeed very helpful Of course, if you have a nifty way of extracting lots of different graphics fast, then that would be a tremendous help, because even though I was given a solution to my immediate problem, it still takes a long time. Anyway, here's a save state. |
