Using Samsung PC Floppy disk drive with Amiga. Is it natively slow?

Hi guys,
I made several experiments with Pc drives modifing them to be used with Amiga. But if there is one type that, whatever is the version or submodel, gives me a strange behaviour is the famous SAMSUNG SFD 321B.
Whatever is the version, after the mod it results to be slower than other brands of PC FDD (alps, sony ecc).
I made more experiments with modified drives on different Amiga as well, and I can confirm that under Amiga Dos they are slower than other brands. Very slow up to 3 or 4 times.
The mod I apply is the classic one (switching resistor from disk change pads to Ready pads + solder a wire that links pin 2 to disk change pad).
Is it possible that no one ever described this issue for these drives?

Hi,

Recently I also modified some SFD 321B drives (different version and models) and noticed the same issue as you described.

I'm wondering if you maybe, in the meantime, found a reason or solution for this "issue".

Thanks.
