Problem with a good Game named Trex Warrior :(
Hay People i hope, perhaps can you help me...
I loved on Amiga the Game Trex Warrior,it was one of the coolest Games ever and its bad that no Remake made from it.. ok,i play Amiga Games with WinUae,but if i play Trex Warrior,i can play it and save the game but CANT load it.. You can normally 8 times save the game and it have 25 lvl, saving would be needed... I know the Game exists on Atari st too but i tried and its not the same feeling,on Amiga is Sound much much better.. i dont know why saving and loading dont works, perhaps i dont have a original .adf but perhaps someone can help me THX very much |

maybe due to a problem with the disk format used on the original. The save & load routine has not been adapted ?

You could use savestate/loadstate in WinUAE instead.

Perhaps it uses custom save format? Try this: put the game adf inside zip (or any other supported archive), put the zip in DF0: and untick "write protected". Does the save and load work now?
Another possibility is broken disk image. But yes, statefile will be much easier. (limited saves? ok..) |

Yes. Also try savestates (like mentioned above), since they are more flexible and faster than normal saves when playing on WinUAE.

On the left you'll find the 'Miscellaneous' panel. On it there are two buttons 'Load state...' and 'Save State...'. When you're in the game press F12 to open the WinUAE interface and save your game.
You can speed up the loading time by pressing 'End + Pause'. This will enable the warp mode. Press it again to switch it off. Last edited by TCD; 28 November 2009 at 15:59. |
