Unable to log into open retro
Hello, just trying to set up on a new MacBook Pro with an M1 Pro processor.
I set up a open retro account and can log in using the web page, but when I try and log on inside UAE-Launcher I get an error (see attached screen shot) Am I doing anything wrong or is there a problem with the software? Thank you, Peter |

Hi, I've gotten similar reports from two other users. One of them reinstalled macOS (it was a fairly new installation anyway) and then it started working. The oner one found that the problem was due to the use of some software called "adguard": https://fs-uae.net/support#comment-1050693.
I cannot tell exactly what the problem is on your computer, but it is likely that some security software / firewall / anti-virus or anti-ad software (*) is blocking the the connection - for some reason. (*) By the way, there isn't any good reason why anti-ad software should block API connections to openretro.org, since it contains no ads whatsoever. (I see from your name that you might also be one of the two users I talked about ) |
