15khz Amiga compatible monitor

Morning all,

Just decided on a whim to connect my A1200 to a spare 2015 LCD monitor.
It is an Acer G226HQL and isn’t specifically listed on here http://15khz.wikidot.com/
Used a passive Amiga 23pin to VGA adapter.

Image is pin sharp but locked in 16:9 and has very faint vertical banding. Interlace modes still flicker.
Lo Res games also look great with smooth scrolling, although still in 16:9.

funny how everyone thinks ACER is crap, but their monitors handle 15HKz/50Hz when high end ones don't...

I wasn't too keen on LCD for this purpose but... it saves space on desk and easily portable compared to CRT.

Is there anyway to force these Acers into 4:3 mode or the proper aspect ratio for the Amiga screen mode? Stuck at 16:9 is not what I personally like.

I had the same back then. No, forcing to 4:3 doesn't work. Newer LCD monitors can do it via OSD.

There's also the V226HQL that can do 15kHz.

No, I couldn’t get 4:3 from any of the monitor settings.
