LOL yep really in the UK. London based... Have been to a number a demoparties and won quite a few compos and made a few demos too.

Still missing AISS, and i'm too lazy to configure ReqAttack to look like os4. I also have the os4.1fe logo go up everytime the system boots.

looks a bit like my OS 3.9 concept, putting all tools simply on the bottom, but it's probably a transparent dock, isn't it? You say that you're booting OS 4.1 FE, but there are no OS4 icons on your Workbench. AISS on OS4 should be no problem. I even have that nice bloatware installed on OS 4.0.

Nah what I mean is that I have the os4.1fe logo shown at bootup using showamiga96. Sorry if I didn't mention that earlier. Yes, i'm using MacLikeDock for 68k though an os4 style amidock would be nice.

Do I have to install mui 5 for it to work properly as I only have 3.8 installed because mui4 was quite problematic at that time.

I use 5 but I dont think so. Scalos is from 2012 iirc there was only 3.8 for the classic at this time.

It is version 41.7b. I tried version 41.8 some time ago but dropped it because some things weren't working (like icon snapshot).
This version seems stable, maybe i'll give it a try with this version again.

41.7b is the better one. Icon scaling works only on 41.8 and the image preview in folders only on 41.7 for some reason. At the moment I use 41.8 for big icons on the UHD Workbench.
I still have trouble with some 3.5icons and newicons. Not a big deal for me since most of the stuff I use got png icons over the years. Just a minor inconvenience with new software that comes with old icons. Fire up PPaint load the icon save both images as png and join them.

Thank you, tested your config, the problem was not German but the various saved paths

However I have not solved the problem, even with your config I have the background under the buttons, from where it is remove it?

However, characters and icons AFA-OS lose quality with Scalos !

I dont remenber where exactly I found it but I think it was in scalos/themes. I also had to create new buttons because the transparency mask wasnt working on the originals with my combination of datatypes. In a nutshell Scalos in it's original archive is a big mess and it took me some time and efford to make it look as it does now. Let alone the issues with older icon formats...

The only difference I found was icon scale in realtime vs picture preview. Both seem to have problems with some icon formats. But since I use it together with AfA that may cause even more problems...
