Hehe
Same thing with Divine Divinity, which was also supposed to be released on the Amiga, but eventually was released on PC. http://hol.abime.net/4793 |

Your post is a bit puzzling.
The Divine Divinity screenshots were added to the HOL by an ex-member in 2003 when we used 320x256 for all screenshots. Since then we upload in the correct size but have not replaced all the old, wrongly sized screens. I've now removed the Divine Divinity screens. |

In the case of some of the newer games where we don't have the OS or hardware (e.g. MorphOS or PowerPC) then we rely on contributions.
Additionally where it's not possible to grab screens for an unreleased game like Divine Divinity publicity screenshots may be the only alternative. Did you want to list the other games with wrong screenshot sizes? |

Right resolution but not the whole picture:
http://hol.abime.net/1878/screenshot http://hol.abime.net/199/screenshot http://hol.abime.net/3397 http://hol.abime.net/402 http://hol.abime.net/4278/screenshot http://hol.abime.net/4802/screenshot I remember seeing quite a few more, but don't remember the names. Could take a second look later. |

Belgarath and I have dealt with these screens. I'll also add some new ones for games like The Settlers and Brataccas.

Limbo of the Lost looks good, what a shame it's for PC only now. I wonder how they'd feel about doing an OS4 port?

@Cammy
If they're using DirectX 9.0 then it may not be worth the effort. MiniGL isn't that powerful and Mesa hasn't been ported yet. |

it seems that the publisher is retiring the game (the new i read on an internet italian feed) because graphics would be wildly ripped off from other games (a carbon copy)
check also here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=310683 is this a joke? edit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limbo_of_the_Lost |

well i thought it was a crappy game nevertheless, but it makes me wonder if they did have the intent to carbon copy games already ten year ago for this project. it could have had the backgrounds of Doom or of Alien Breed 3d!

The story is hilarious. This Steve Bovis guy won 260000$ in poker and tried to continue his work on Limbo.

All the backdrops are stills?
I did wonder how he'd ported the maps from so many different 3D engines to a single one. I was almost congratulating him for doing that. And I wondered why he hadn't just re-textured everything, moved some dynamic lights, inverted all the scenes from left to right etc. deleted boxes & crates etc. Which would have hidden most of the faux pas. Screenshots explains it. |

That neogaf thread is great. Apparently they even ripped off graphics from other games ('Guy Spy' is mentioned) in its Amiga incarnation!
Just ordered myself a copy and hope it turns up as it will be priceless one day |

Tenuous Link to the Amiga, but.....
You have to read this thread, I am lost for words, did they really think they would get away with this stunt?

I had never heard of this game at all until I read the links in this thread.
Pretty pathetic all that copied and stolen material. I was praying that it was a Gaystation game and I was ready to laugh and laugh at those useless and clueless companies pumping out absolute rubbish but sadly it was a PC game But I will still laugh at them, just not as hard |
