'Manage Attachments' button not working

As per the title.

Anybody else having problems? Regardless of whether I press it for a new thread or a reply the button simply doesn't work. Nothing happens.

Yesterday it was fine but now I can't do anything with it

Fine here too.

Browser specific? Browser version specific? (pleas specify)

Also, you would not happen to have it opened in a new tab/window and forgotten it and then keep pressing manage attachments getting no result (as the only manage attachments window will be the one in the new tab/window and therefore any other click on Manage Attachments won't open another one).

Using Firefox 3.5.8 on XP. Nothing different to yesterday.

And no, absolutely nothing has appeared in a new tab/new window etc anywhere at all!

Thanks for having a look guys. This has really puzzled me...

If you haven't got another instance of the attachments window open as lilalurl suggests, can you upload to the Zone without problems?

Yep, just tried to upload a test file to the Zone (deleted now) and that worked fine.

I've just created a new thread I wanted to do last night with attachments, but had to do it in (spit) Internet Explorer for it to work. I still can't get it to work on here. I've got no add-ons installed or anything like that and nothing else has been installed recently - to my knowledge at least. So I am at a total loss as to why this doesn't work.

I assume that prowler and lilalurl tried it using Firefox 3.5.8 too?

3.6 actually.
I would suggest to upgrade but I would find it weird if it solved the issue (although it might still be worth a try).

Other things you could try is deleting your cookies for EAB and your cache.
Then run your favourite anti-spyware program, just in case.

I searched quickly and could at least find an instance of somebody having a similar issue (on another vbulletin board):
http://www.abxzone.com/forums/f139/a...ng-103297.html
But if was with IE (and also FF). And it was in 2006.

From what I understand the issue solved itself after a while .

Still, you could find some ideas of things to try.

Edit: Hmmm, we'd better solve this issue because right now EAB is showing as number 2 result when searching ""manage attachments" not working" on Google.

Cheers lilalurl.

I'm at work now (where the letter T on my keyboard only works intermittently (you have no idea how long it took to type that ) just to rub it in) and use IE here but I will try your suggestions tonight and if all else fails I'll just upgrade and hope for the best.

As long as Ctrl-C/V works there is no problem (sorry, couldn't resist )

Version 3.6 here too, I'm afraid.

I'm not a 'latest version freak', it just happened to be the current version when I installed it as an alternative to IE6 (still haven't updated to IE8 ).

Just upgraded to version 3.6. It now works fine.

I'll probably never ever know what happened but what the heck, at least it's working again now.
