Wanted - All Lucasarts FM Towns games

I know this is not Amiga related but I know there are lots of retro fans on these forums so I'm posting this in the hope that someone here might have or might know where to get some of the ultra rare Lucasarts FM Towns games.

I've decided I want to own original copies of these games and if anyone can help me with this, I'd be very grateful! Money is not a problem, I've saved up a lot of money I can use on this alone.. so if you ever see one for sale anywhere, give me a link even if you find the price ridiculous!

Thanks!

Ooops, missed this thread...

Luckily I gave you tips after your PM hey

Well done at getting them all in original format. TBH I'm surprised that you got the complete collection so quickly

Took my hardcore FM Towns collector friend a few months and loads of cash...

Just out of interest, how much did it cost you for the complete collection all up?

Hehe yeah I didn't expect to find them all that quickly either. And the Loom game did come with the CD audio drama too. And Indy 4 came with the poster which is cool. And thanks again for the tips

I'd rather not say how much I paid though

EDIT - I'm still looking for another copy of Zak though as the one I have has one very tiny scratch and I hate scratches with a passion.

Yeah, understand completely

I was about to edit my post and say: "PM me instead if you like"...

I've seen "The Secret of Monkey Island" go for 35,000 Yen i.e. roughly £140 and that's without shipping from Japan plus customs tax when it gets to the UK

Definitely

I've seen so many unbelievable prices for FM Towns games... My collector friend has spent literally thousands of pounds but he really does have an awesome collection now. He even has a mint copy of Ultima IV, which is probably the rarest FM Towns game there is after Flashback + Shadow of the Beast II. Never seen Ultima IV anywhere in 2 years of very hard searching

Unfortunately he won't make me an image as he doesn't want to open it (understandable though)

Myself, I paid £130 for an original Marble Madness, £40 for Rocket Ranger, £50 for Battle Chess, £60 for Lemmings 2: The Tribes, £50 for Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss...

Yeah.. even if I don't want to say how much I paid for these, I can say that it was pretty expensive

Hentai games are often great, I mean the kind with very little gameplay but awesome art and often cool storylines. Too bad I don't know any Japanese!

Well I can send you my list of 320+ FM Towns games?

I would say 30% are Hentai, the problem is as you've mentioned, is that they are only Japanese and not dual language like the LucasArts / LucasFilm games are so I have no clue what's going on

That would be great!

Btw, I'm thinking of learning Japanese so I can play games like that.. I have a ton of them (for PC though). I've wanted to learn Japanese for a long time anyway.. I've already ordered a book that teaches a lot of Kanji letters (or symbols or whatever they're called). Trouble is, you need to know 2000 of them just to read a Japanese newspaper

I've always been good at learning languages though

EDIT - here's the intro from a great hentai game.. I love great 2D art like that!

.. well this thread has gotten pretty far off topic
