[Ongoing] Tiger Claw

As Confucius said: The journey is the destination.
For Amiga Tiger Claw, it was a very long journey, but finally it has been released.

boxed version available from: rgcd.bigcartel.com
download available from: rgcddev.itch.io/tiger-claw
homepage: www.lazycow.de/tigerclaw

System requirements: Amiga A500 with 1 MB (or better)
It has been tested on Amigas with/without AGA and/or turbo boards. (PAL and NTSC!)

wow, it look really nice and "professional".
Do you code it to work on A500.
How do you convert the music ? Do you use a special music editor ?

It looks indeed like Bruce Lee. But the gameplay here is completely different.

Yes, it is NOT a Bruce Lee game, sorry.

@Frog: Saulc12 is doing the Amiga music with Protracker. There is no converter for C64 music, as far as I know. The music has to be remade manually.

The game should work with any 680x0 based Amiga, including the A500.

I thought you were using a C64 like tracker as AHX, Musicline, BP Soundmon but it's true it can be nice for the musician to play with other kind of tracker.

that's a good news and a real effort to do a new game working on a classic A500.
I'm quite sure we will make a challenge with the game on the french forum http://insertdisk2.free.fr/

Ok, I have found the evil memory overwriting bug. (it was red-black-striped and made buzzing noises) There's still some work ahead, because the background-animations have to be done differently on the Amiga.

But it's time to release a little teaser, hope you like it...

I'm really looking forward to play this. I like this kind of games and also the graphics look great!

Just one hint, as you said you're targetting the A500 and I saw you compiled the demo with vbcc: The default (aos68k) config is not Kickstart 1.x compatible. Even if your code is, but this configuration will use an OS2.x startup code and takes advantage of new hunk types and relocations (e.g. HUNK_RELOC32SHORT). Such an executable (like your demo) can't even be loaded with Kickstart 1.x.

There should be a "kick13" config for this purpose, which uses startup13.o and doesn't pass the -Rshort option to the linker. Just contact me when you need any help.

Oh, thanks for the hint, phx!

I have recompiled it with +kick13 now. (download link points to the updated version) But I only have a kickstart 3.1 from my A1200 for testing. A500/kick 1.2 testers are welcome...

It's nearly finished... Just waiting for saulc12 for the title picture and ingame music...
It almost fits into the 512k ram of an unexpanded Amiga, but I might be too lazy to optimize it. 1 MB minimum...
