Demos which scroll a large part of the screen horizontally
I want to test some demos with WinUAE that will show up any frame rate mismatch between the emulated Amiga and the host PC.
Can anyone recommend demos which have a large part of the screen scrolling horizontally? Using a demo like that it should be easy to see which line glitches happen at. |

Demon Download by Silents has a nice big scrolling logo (drawn by Devilstar) in the intro part.

This kind of test won't tell anything because normally sound buffer state will affect timing (reason: showing same frame twice is less annoying than sound glitch.
In vsync modes it is synced to display, sound comes second. In vsync you won't see any useful results either, at least results you think you get.. |

Thanks very much for the suggestions!
Some time ago I kind-of remember seeing a demo which had a kind of scrolling grid, maybe blue, which occupied most of the screen. Does that ring a bell for anyone? I thought it might have been by HQC (but the chances are it wasn't actually by them). |

One I found myself: Scroll Demo I by Perfect Cracking Team. The download link on that page is broken; the file seems to be misnamed on the ftp.amigascne.org server. The current URL is ftp://ftp.amigascne.org/pub/amiga/Gr.../PCT-CrollDemo.
