Wanted: 1Mb expansion for the A500 Plus

Hi,

I'm looking for a 1Mb expansion for the A500+, to take the total memory to 2Mb, does anyone have one going spare?

If so, please let me know how much you want for it.

LOL, alexh, my friend, if it was always about money, then i doubt i would bother with 95% of the projects that amuse me.

I am sure there are some you get involved in that are more about the experience than that of the cost.

going back some, I built a Parallel EEPROM programmer (upto 4MBIT) designed and built the lot including the software.... prolly cost me about £40 in components, and plugpack. around 40 hours hardware build and that again for the software... i could of easly bought a programmer for around £40... but the learning, the experience... the fact i can say.... I BUILT THAT.... i am sure you know how good that feels.....

alas your not going to get that from £18, unless those types of activities are much cheaper in your area than in mine LOL.

The other thing is i have an absolute TON of electronics stuff i can scavange components and elements from. so its more time than any real cost.

This is one you should skip. The A500 trapdoor expansion with no clock is 100% passive (just wires).

Also there are possibly more 1Mbyte A500+ trap door memory cards than A500+'s due to the computers built in self destruct mechanism (motherboard battery).

I haven't seen that many A500+ 1Meg expansions on the usual auction sites recently, unless you know something that I don't....
