Star Crusader (CD32) - Missing hardware label "AGA/AmigaCD"

HoL link: https://hol.abime.net/2092

CD version of this game was designed to work on:

1) A1200 + CD ROM
2) CD32 (+keybord, mouse...)

I tested all possibilities and I can confirm, the game can be run on A1200 from WB and works. The game also really needs AGA chips, don't work without.
You can also look at the Boxscan, where is written "A1200+CD drive and CD32..."

So, due to this, this game is missing hardware label "AGA/AmigaCD". So, whole new hardware label (I mean the label under the game title) should look like this:
AGA - AGA/AmigaCD/CD32

I updated the entry like you suggested and added a note: "Game runs on an AGA machine with a CD-ROM drive or a CD32."

Ok thanks,
a note can be added, why not... although in my opinion, it's unnecessary, because every hardware label "AGA/AmigaCD/CD32" means still the same, that the game runs on an AGA machine with a CD-ROM drive or a CD32, no notes needed (my opinion only). Just for info:

AmigaCD/CD32 - the game runs on any machine with a CD-ROM drive or a CD32
AGA/AmigaCD/CD32 - the game runs on an AGA machine with a CD-ROM drive or a CD32

I yet found in HoL some nonsenses, a few games (on a first look probably 3), which are labeled AGA/CD32 only and it's nonsense.
Are you interested, when I have you on line? May I continue in the discussion with details?

Sure. Any inconsistency or problem should be addressed.

Ok, so here the games are:

Limbo Of The Lost https://hol.abime.net/4305

Magic Carpet https://hol.abime.net/4423

Mighty Max https://hol.abime.net/4474

Pussies Galore https://hol.abime.net/4427

Reshoot https://hol.abime.net/6308

Reshoot R https://hol.abime.net/6309

Four of them are unreleased, but I don't think, It's important. All these games are labeled as "AGA/CD32" and this is in my opinion quite nonsense.

1) If these games are CD32 only, so should be labeled as "CD32" only

2) If these games are AmigaCD + CD32, so should be labeled as "AmigaCD/CD32" or "AGA/AmigaCD/CD32"

But in no case may be labeled as "AGA/CD32", It's nonsense.
So, the labels should be changed to "CD32" only or to "AmigaCD/CD32" or "AGA/AmigaCD/CD32".

Although I probably know, where the problem is...
The one, who created the game entry probably didn't know exactly, what hardware the games were designed for... maybe that's why the label "AGA/CD32"...

What is your opinion?

Okay, those four are special cases when the game was announced for both AGA and CD32, but wasn't released then the entry on HOL just gathers all the material about the game. It's not perfect, but I think creating two seperate entries in this case doesn't make sense either.

I'll look into Reshoot (R) and update the entry.

Edit: Reshoot entries updated.

What if an AGA game is released on floppies and cd32 only?

Then in HOL we usually have two seperate entries . For example: https://hol.abime.net/31

Ok, thanks,
I think, it's quite reasonable solution.
That's true, creating of separated entries as "AGA - CD32" or AGA - AGA/AmigaCD/CD32" don't make much sense (Although, it would be correct and exact). Because actually nobody knows, what version exactly should be released, If A1200 floppy or A1200 CD and CD32...
But these are only 4 controversial cases in HoL now... (2 Reshoot games were correctly repaired)

But, you surely understood, what I wanted to say, the label "AGA/CD32" is basically a nonsense, because it means CD version of a game for CD32 with AGA chips... and CD32 has always AGA chips...

But in the new light of circumstances, It's understandable and moreover, there are only 4 such entries...

It's just in those cases where it is almost impossible to tell which version was used for the bit of material (preview, screenshots etc) we have.
