Mediator ZIV Problem

Right.. I'll try and explain what's going on..

I've installed a Mediator PCI ZIV in my A1200, Voodoo 3 card works OK, even in warp 3d...

Now for the trouble...

If I use MedConfig and set VoodooInt to "Yes" then the system will lock up if I use the gfx card..
If I try and use FastEthernet.device to use the network card the system locks up
If I try a sound card... guess what... yep.. it locks up...

I've tried different Voodoo cards
I've tried diff sound and network cards
I've tried almost every setting combination posible
I've tried PatchInt (The setting for mediator AND the hack)

So.. anyone give me a hint as to what I'm doing wrong? Or is there some magic step for a ZIV that's not mentioned anywhere?

I hope you don't have one of those Elbox MM cd's that has a faulty installed that copies the A4000 drivers instead of the A1200

btw, what soundcard and network card are you using?

Hmm. I installed my Z_IV Mediator today, rebooted and got a crash - Mixer fails every time.
Editted my user-startup to remove it, but don't know what to do now. Where can you get a ral version of the drivers from, or how do you check whether you've got A1200 or A4000 drivers.

Any help greatfully appreciated.

If you register with Elbox (instructions are on the support section of their website) they will e-mail you the latest updates to the CD and installation files.

Might take a couple of days though.

Mixer is a buggy program! Remove its existence at all, and leave no traces. Dump the body on the streets and blame the skinheads.

I need to check what program I use to substitute it (rest in pieces, you sonna-whaa-beach )...

Hmm... Ghostmix! install and use this instead. You'll be glad.

If the mixer crashes on bootup it's usually an MUI problem

MUI must be installed and assigned in user-startup before mixer is started or....BOOM!

Why do I guess that's not in the documentation anywhere (not that I red the documentation).

I've got a fresh install of WB3.0, so no MUI.

BTW, does the AHI preferences program require MUI or other alternative interface? I can't get it to run, and haven't got snoopdos installed yet.
