Heh, that was probably me, because I've downloaded 10.2% now, so it seems to work I'll keep it shared and set to release when it's finished, I've usually got my PC online about 14h per day, so this should help spread the file a little.

Looking forward to the next CD ^^ How much CDXL video (in minutes) can you fit onto a 700MB CD-R anyway?

Thanks for help, robotriot!

In a sigle CD it' possible to fit less of 40 minutes only..... 700 Mb are nearly 716800 Kb; my CDXL video are 300 Kb/s: 716800/300 = 2389 seconds, wich means 39' 44''....

....let's say about 38-39 minutes.

P.S.: do you know italian language?

Ah ok, so if the average anime episode takes about 23 minutes, you could *almost* squeeze two of them on one disc

Nope, I don't speak any Italian Only a little bit of French.

Hmm this could be a problem as I am a big Dragon Ball Z fan, and that would take up a massive CD spindle.

@ziovax:

Can't the animation frames be in HAM8 format instead of HAM6, given the fact that the CD32 has got the AGA chipset ??

Nope.

HAM8 images are "rendered" ones: no suitable codec to stream them.

The codecs available are HAM (HAM 6 bit) or RGB (iff 2-3-4-5-8 bit).

I dunno if exists another codec, I still studying it.... it would be AVP (iff 8-24 (? very improbable)bit), perhaps it's only a mode to store the images on the stream...

@ziovax

YOU ARE THE MAN!!!! I have been looking for someone to convert anything into CDXL

By the way.I do believe there is HAM8 CDXL.or at Least an AGA version............look at Microcosm Intro!

also...........MediaPOINT is an excellent CDXL player! its like a Type of SCALA MM300 presentation program.
It plays them very very well in a nice fashion. You can play them From Harddrive! I have alot of CDXL's I copied form CD32 games on my HArddrive, and they play smooth and fast. I dont need the CDROM.

WooHoo! How about a program for us to do easy CDXL conversions from DVD, Quicktime, AVI, and MPEG1 and DV. The higher the original Quality the better the CDXL will look.............if your only gonna pick one...I say DVD

Even better if you can create a software that simply captures any incoming video into CDXL! Wow!

Back again!

Hi to all!

Well, about 9 years are passed out, but i'm happy to say that my little project is back again!

Why?
It's almost useless, HV is better format (maybe?), but i think it's very funny!

Thanks to all eab users, thanks to all the community, i will continue to play and have fun with Amiga.

http://amigaanimecd.wordpress.com/info/

I think that first release will be tomorrow: now is on uploading.

Does not work on CD32

Tried "CDGXL hsotd01.cdxl" from the Workbench
but just said something about 'Lock' ?

Also tried to Execute Startup
but it complained about ENV:
