68040/60 speed
does winuae emulate real instruction set in various processor?
i'd like to emulate real 68040 and 68060 speed one day |

First, I can see failure of not reading beta thread rules.
Second, already answered somewhere multiple times. Not going to search just now because of first point. ADDED: quick answer because I don't want to be too annoying No. 68040+ modes really require JIT and JIT speed is "as fast as possible", it can't be adjusted without making it slower than non-JIT modes. Also I am not interested at all, if some 68040+ software breaks due to "too fast cpu", it is someone elses problem. Either you get accurate (68000/020 CE) or as fast as possible emulation (68020+/JIT). It is impossible to have both. Last edited by Toni Wilen; 19 January 2010 at 10:39. |
