UVGEN emulation for Prevue enthusiats.
Hi, my name is Evelyn and i am a Prevue Guide and Amiga Enthusiast.
I know that WinUAE, already has the Genlock feature, but that genlock really works for any application. Prevue in the other hand works differently. I want to see if you all can implement a UVGEN genlock emulation using the existing WinUAE genlock, for Prevue Channel related software to work properly in the emulator. If you want an example of that and where to find the software for testing, please let me know. Example of UVGEN running on the Prevue Channel: [ Show youtube player ] Please IGNORE this thread. Read the next one I will post, tomorrow. Best Regards... Evelyn Friedrich Prevue Channel emulation enthusiast and Amiga enthusiast. Last edited by PrevueNetworks; 02 December 2020 at 08:03. |

One note: How the UVGEN works: Genlock is only activated while pressing the L or R or N buttons on the keyboard of the Amiga system, L has the Left video audio channel, presented in mono.
R is the same as L but, Right Video and the Right audio channel. N uses both audio channels but also mono. Also, a separate mono audio feed is used for music during the graphical ads or text ads, which also disables the genlock video, going to that separate audio channel. You can note that in the sample video in the main post, above this reply. |

What do you mean "genlock [emulation] really works for gaming"?
It should work with any program. |

The "gaming" thing I actually had written before was what a friend of mine said to me in the Prevue Guide discord server. Just ignore that part. i will be deleting that phrase. Also, the UVGEN is very different from any regular genlock for regular applications except the Prevue ESQ system which works in the way I explained above.

If it is just a genlock, then whats the special thing that is missing in emulation? What happens? What does not happen? What kind of software? How does it work? and so on

I will be posting in a separate post since I figured that the genlock is actually controlled by a 110 baud CTRL feed sent from Tulsa. So wait for that post.
