I still can't play Lionheart WHD without gfx glitches in the 1st level.
Parallax background (sky or mountains) somtimes flickers and the water leaves gfx trials on right screen border... I tried to change all settings but I can't find a decent solution to play it with smooth parallax scrolling without glitches. Everything else (I have a lot of WHD games) works fine... Is it a complex chipset/cpu-timing issue or there's some secret trick? It's the same using old WUAE 1.4- or latest 1.6b14. I love Lionheart |

This is only a minor problem, you notice it only in the first second of level 1 on a real Amiga. But I know the graphic glitches that hexaae decribes. Don't use JIT and level 1 works nearly glitch-free in WinUAE.

Tried it without JIT here and there is quite a bit of graphic glitches left The sky 'flickers' every 1-2 seconds.

I uploaded two WHDload versions. Both without gfx glitches on my A1200 and A4000. |

I thought you could get rid of the flickering by pressing 'i' on a normal TV to turn on/off interlaced backgrounds?

Is it any better if you use the Thalion HD installer which is present on the original disks (available on my website)?
That way you could rule out (or in) WHDload as the culprit? Never quite understood why they did a WHDload installer for this game as the Thalion one works fine on my A4000/040 |

Well, there is a flicker with garbled graphics for one or two frames. Nothing too bad, but it doesn't happen in the disk version.

Nope, Gamebase Amiga settings from Belg. Try it with adjustable cpu/chip setting, 3-4 steps from the left.

I use a 68000/Cycle exact config and there's no glitches whatsoever.
That goes for WinUAE (PC) and WinUAEX (XBOX). If I use 68020 or above I get glitches in the background/sky. Last edited by Retroplay; 05 March 2009 at 19:34. Reason: fixed a typo |

I always use this setting for WHD games in WinUAEX for OCS/ECS games if the slave support quitkey with a 68000.
