Side-scroller game or pro-app ?
Hi guys.
After long researches I still can't find this game. Not even sure it was a game... 1. Possible name of game Completly forgotten. I ran it only a few times on my amiga before the floppy died. 2. Game genre (General) Possibly Adventure, Definetly Platform. 3. Game genre (Specific) Very vague memories. Shadow of the beast-like ? 4. Viewpoint Side scrolling - horizontal at game start. Possibly vertical too. 5. General dates Before 1993. 6. Commercial status I only owned a copy. It was probably commercial. Maybe a demo to run on Amigas in shops. 7. Other specific info I remember the art was outstanding. And the music was overwhelmingly good. I only remember the first steps at game start. No recognition of what the character was. I am pretty sure there was huge golden statues in the background at game start. Possibly egyptian style. |

Yeah I found this one during my egyptian orientated searches. Watched a video of EoH on YouTube, it's not the game I owned. Arts and sounds were a lot more advanced for instance. Egyptian could be misleading unfortunately. Eg, it could be aztec for all I remember. It's so vague in my mind. The music really struck me back then.

Found the last boss level of Assassin on YT. I ve never played this game. But it looked advanced like that.
Never played Myth as well. But the statues in my game looked like shinny yellow gold like in myth. They were a lot bigger tho. If I recall correctly they were bigger than the screen. Could only see part of them, or some of them at least ? Thanks for the efforts guys by the way. I owned a decent number of démos back then. |

No, I have never owned this game too. The music wasn't electro. It was more classical. Or movie-like. Very spellbinding in any case.

Thanks but no
Funny, it's very Barbarian like, which I played a lot. Well nothing is obvious... my memories are so blurry. And... how can I put this... I got my first PC only in 2006. Didn't live in Europe before that. I owned like 200 or 300 games and other stuff but didn't have access for more. Only a few other gamers around me. Only one other Amiga user iirc. My knowledge of Amiga titles is still limited to this day. I did a lot of research but could totally be missing something obvious. Too bad I could only run it 2 or 3 times. I could be older than 1990, I'll check that asap. |

Checked those titles on YT. It's none of those. But good stuff nonetheless.
Myth's Chambers of Anubis level is giving me second thoughts. I'll play it. Maybe it will ring a bell. I could totally have been in possession of some sort of demo version of Myth. But I got my Amiga in the late 80's along with that floppy. Myth release date doesn't match. But you never know... it's worth a try. I don't remember much. Gigantic golden statues. Or pyramids. Or both. Character looked very small compared to them, moving at their feet. Not sure if it was even possible to see their top. The soundtrack was outstanding. Black spot is the character. Not good at MS Paint and I need to change my mouse... Pretty sure the action took place inside some building. Last edited by shotgunfacelift; 30 August 2016 at 22:13. |

Specifically the Mars Pyramid (screenshots 54 and 55) |

Toki? Sure an ape character would have been memorable though! Only as there are some gold statues in there, sure of it

Could be Soldier of Light the more I think about it. Outside and inside and some buildings which resemble a pyramid. There is also a scrolling shooting section.
