Blade Runner-esque Amiga games..
Hi,
having just completed Mean Streets I'm in the mood for some more of this dystopian/sci-fi/detective/hovercar stuff. I'm getting into The Killing Cloud right now which seems pretty cool, but more action oriented. I'm aware of Beneath a Steel Sky and Rise of the Dragon which I've already compeleted. Maybe B.A.T. & B.A.T. II? Maybe some post-apocalyptic stuff will do as well. So, what else is there? |

DreamWeb?
Mixed reviews I know, but I loved the atmosphere. Blade Runner/Cyberpunk/Snatcher style. |

there is Zombi, based on Romero's Dawn of the Dead, if you want some zombie post-apocalyptic fun too.
apart from that i aint sure on the miggy, will be interested to find out as i love apocalyptic stuff, and i am still playing the first fallout. OT alert - The Road is out this weekend at cimenas if you enjoy post-apocalyptic movies the book was awesome and was used by the dev team of Fallout 3 |

Yeah, Dreamweb's pretty cool. I completed it back in the day. Might give it a try some day.
Neuromancer doesn't look too tempting graphically. I haven't read the book so I don't know so much about it either. Is it any good? Looks like a mix between Zac McKraken and Beneath a Steel Sky. |

dreamweb is great.
I would recommend manhunter and manhunter 2. Okay, I'm not really being objective as I love Sierra old parser adventure games and grew up with them, but Manhunter definitely is more dark, mature and "deep", not to mention totally different in terms of gameplay than the other Sierra AGI games. Totally worth a go in my opinion, even if I'm pretty biased MH1:NY : http://hol.abime.net/2403 MH2:SF : http://hol.abime.net/2404 Last edited by Nostalgeek; 08 January 2010 at 16:13. |

Just spent the afternoon with my head stuck in horrible literary theory books that try to apply their theory to games: made my eyes ache and has forced me to drink gin with a modicum of tonic
however, one mentioned neuromancer as a fine example of realist cum post-structuralist narrative [not sure what this means] but the story is laced with serious satire that because the book is about cyber-reality and 'gameworlds' is in itself heavily ironic and the game is a forerunner to the Matrix. heavy do do wheres the gin just got the whdload package |
