Favourite Amiga games?
Back when I used to have my Amigas back in the day, I was more interested in creative uses - even if I never actually produced anything worthy of sharing with anyone. So most of the time I was playing around in Deluxe Paint IV, or PPaint, Imagine 2.0 or any number of others that I can't remember now.
I played a few games, but usually just the ones that were already installed on the hard disk of my A1200 when I got it - Syndicate, Civilisation and a few others. But I was more interested in creative uses. Fast forward to now, and the joys of WHDLoad, and it appears from what I've read and seen, that most people saw the Amiga as a gaming platform, and that I may have missed out on some great games. So, now that I've got my A600, can anyone suggest some games that they really enjoyed back then, or still do now, that don't need AGA or anything above a 68000, that will run nicely on my A600? Thanks in advance. |

you will get so many posts with so many good games here. I suggest searching a Top 100 Amiga games in youtube. They're generally a fair good idea of whats good and popular.

I sincerely hope so, as there are so many to choose from it's honestly quite daunting.
Good idea, thank you, I will. I didn't mind Turrican II, but the up to jump really annoyed me, and yes, I know, single fire button, but I found it made precise platforming rather more difficult - but I guess that could be a case of just what you're used to, having got used to Alex Kidd in Miracle World on the Sega Master System... |

Hmmmm lets setup this way-back machine.... Zetr0 t a young and handsome 16-18 years young
Primarilly I would love to code, create graphics and write med-mods but there were times I would be known to play games So the following would be my Desert Island disks - as long as I had power and a reasonably tasty Amiga - these are the games that would have to come with me Strategy / Sim UFO: Enemy UnknownDungeon Crawling / RPG CaptivePlatform Games Flash BackRacing / Driving Games F1 Grand PrixBeat 'em Up BarbarianOther Games Super Foul EggsNow that is a games list..... phew..... While that list is quite large - the truth is that I normally only play a game for a couple of hours and then its back to something creative like coding, writing music (I put that optimistically) and drawing graphics - fun fun fun =D Last edited by Zetr0; 24 August 2016 at 11:40. |

Such a difficult question as there are sooooo many cool games
If you look at this thread you can see all the games that I've currently setup in WinUAE (warning; over 1400+): http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=80841 Reverse 2 years back and I had only added around 500 games; these were probably all the must haves IMHO Anyway, when I get home tonight I'll put the list of 500 here |

Millenium 2.2, Deuteros and Supremacy are great if you like that kind of space strategy games. They aren't the kind of game you can just pick up and have a quick blast on though - also Dune II is one of my all time favorite games.
