Unable to play tfx/sam files -Delitracker V2.32

Hello Guys,

I'm unable to play tfx/sam files (e.g Turrican 2 mod files) with Delitracker V2.32 /2.34 the format is not recognized.
I've tested it on winuae : Classic Workbench 68K (WB 3.1) and KS3.1 and with my A500 (1MB chip / 8MB fast) same KS and OS.
I seems that all the replayers are installed, if someone could help me it would be great !!

Turrican2 musics from unexotica work fine for me. Make sure the "TFMX" player is loaded and keep the "mdat.xx" and "smpl.xx" file names.

. On my release i have the same number of files with sam and tfx extansion but it can't be played.

It's me again to report that playing some mod with tfmx7V (7channels) are really slow on A500 with delitracker 2.34 and eagleplayer 1.54. For the other types of tfmx files it's good, any idea ?

Of course it's slow. But what to expect ? The Amiga only has 4 audio channels and TFMX 7v plays 7 so this involves mixing. Be glad the A500 can do it at all !

Ok thanks for the explanation but as it's the title music of turrican 2 I was hoping...

But meantime I managed to run it at fullspeed in winuae and realclock setting (a500) with hippoplayer if i set the rate at 6 instead of 12 hz for Tfmx (I don't have the technical explanation..). I need to test this soon on my 500!

Guess why it's the title music and not ingame music

anyway i will report the result of my test on the 500 with hippoplayer like described above.

I bet the files are crunced/decrunced on the fly.
Don't remember if it was xpk or powerpacker but it solved the problem. My tfmx turrican(1) files suddenly where recognized by delitracker.

IIRC DT supports crunched songs but not crunched sample files.

It was long ago. Maybe it was enough to give the file a .pp suffix so they are recognized as powerpacked files. But I think I had to install some software because DT did not come with the decruncher modules.

so i made the test of running a TFMX7V mod on my 500 with hippoplayer. It runs at fullspeed if i reduce the rate to 6 Hz
