Here is a playlist of Demos to showcase piStorm emu68 baremetal core:

But how all these games/demos are launched? Is there some very special Startup-Sequence needed? Is it possible to start Workbench in Amithlon-like way?

I thought Workbench still requires the Amiga connected to Raspberry Pi. I’ll try when I have some time.

Does the Pistorm 32 have MMU capability? Anyone know if this will be compatible with Mediator 1200?

I was browsing retro micro stuff on my local site and saw a PiStorm (with RPi 3 bundled) for ~100E, as an initial price in an auction. I thought it's a bit much, and had a look around the net. Nearly spat my tea out when I saw that Amigastore.eu asks ~100E for Raspberry Pi 3A+.
The hell has happened to RPi prices? Can you mine crypto on it or something? When I bought mine in 2017 I think I paid ~60E. Thought it'd be dirt cheap by now, what with RPi 4 being released. This silliness makes PiStorm a little bit on the pricey side atm. I get it of course that it's still good value, and way cheaper than Vampire, but still...~160E...hmm. |

The chip shortage has had a big effect on production of Raspberry Pi devices, so they're all in high demand. This has naturally caused the prices to go up. Hopefully they'll drop again over the next year or so.

Electronics may well be the only class of goods whose price returns to pre-pandemic levels.

You can purchase RPi @ normal price, and when they get stock, you will receive it. I always got mine through Newark.
https://www.newark.com/c/embedded-co...c-raspberry-pi Issue with RPi is that a lot of companies are now using them for many different things in industry. (for example as mediator between web service and old school controller attached to industrial machine) I saw quite few in this role in last couple of months. I hope they get enough chips to produce enough of them... Will this PiStorm work with Mister FPGA? How to obtain one? (at reasonable price ) |

Can't get one in New Zealand at any price. Covid kills PiStorm?

If you can't get a 3a+ the RPi Zero 2W has been benchmarked as an acceptable replacement and slightly better on form factor. They are available in the UK at low volume for £14. Might have to ask someone to solder the header on for you.

Anyone knows why pistorm only supports RPI 3a+ oe RPi Zero? i.e. - not RPI 4a or 4b.
Is it a physical thing? or a software thing? |
