Apollo 1240 missing Mach chip

Not as much a wtb-post as an help-post..

In 1998/99, i bought an Apollo 1240/40 accellerator card from a local Amigashop called Datakompaniet.

In 2004-ish, i sold or gave away all my Amiga stuff, including the Apollo.

About a year ago, a friend called me and asked me if i wanted some Amiga stuff, since he didn't have room to keep it anymore. This lot included my old Apollo. But the Mach-chip was no longer there.

So, obviously, i want one. I don't know if the accellerator still works, it's been through some rough times. I soldered on a second ram socket myself and i've started halfways to solder on a coincell battery socket, but i changed my mind since it didn't exactly fit nor look nice. I also mounted a fan, though it's still not soldered or finished since i started thinking "Shouldn't there be a chip in that empty plcc socket?"

I've heard somewhere that (can't remember the name) own the rights to these accellerators and the software in the Mach-chip and that he no longer sells them (something about him not liking the stability or quality about the Apollo accellerators).

Is this true? and if so, then what do i do? frame it and hang it on the wall? :-)

Individual Computers hold those rights. Email and ask if there is anything to be done

Jens said at one point that he will burn these as one-offs to people for a fee. Best ask if the offer is still valid.
