Making SCSIinit (cyberscsi) store it's settings
Hi,
I've been having an issue with CD-rom in my A4000. I've gotten my hands on a Cyberstorm Mk2 040 with SCSI-controller and I'm using it with SCSI2SD rev6. I've set it to async, and it's reaching good speeds reliably, but my CDrom is just kicking up errors when I put a disk in. If I go into SCSItools and unitcontrol set the CDrom (device 5) to synchronous (and 5mb) it works perfectly. The problem is that I have to do this manually at every boot as SCSIinit does not store settings. I assume there is a way to get it into startup-sequence or wbstartup or something like that? Is there something I can do to automate this process? All suggestions are greatly appreciated. Last edited by Overmann; 05 January 2021 at 16:36. |

Hi Overmann,
Exactly this--there's a little tool you can run in your user-startup with the applicable flags (I believe it's "unitcontrol"), I know it's on the Fastlane disk, and likely the one for your CyberSCSI (all these disks readily avaiable at a1k.org). |
