Just added the rtc component to a kit bought for my a500+.. It seems to work fine, with jp9 link bridged and without the y1 crystal in the board (I thought it was needed). Happy this project is open source!

I’ve made my own, it’s like the PA501 but I’ve not bothered with the extra chip on the underside as this is the 500 version. I’ve made a different board for the 500+ Without clock components.
Just on with making a SOJ42 version for the 500+ and a TSOP version with clock for the 500.

I’ve not uploaded it yet, once I’m happy with it, I’ll be uploading it.
I made a massive cock up on the first one, 2 small errors which were easily sorted but the main one was forgetting to re add the top ground plane after making some changes. I can send you the current gerbers but I’m not responsible for and issues as I’ve not tested it.

I actually designed a board the does all 500 models, can have 512k, 1mb and RTC. I made it for myself for testing purposes.

I own this extension that I bought from Amigastore.eu. What I miss is a detailed guide, for example how to configure the jumpers on the PCB and those on the Gary adapter. Good hardware thrives on good documentation. I find very little about this hardware. The installation instructions are okay, but unfortunately not sufficient.

Have an A500 Rev.6 with 4 empty RAM slots ...

Ordered 4 RAM chips with sockets ...
I have read many tuts and seen many shematics for RAM upgrade on this amiga, but don't get the catch what if ...

So if I add the 4 RAM chips resolder the JP2 and JP7, I will have 1MB of chip ram ...

But the expansion that I have now (512kb in expansion slot - the bottom one) will not been seen any more ???

Or will I have the 1mb chip and the 512kb slow ram ????

Is it somehow possible to make this combination ???

THx in advice, and please if it colud be possible to cover comments with some pics or tuts what do I need detailed to solder/desolder, add or remove ...

So all I have read with getting the 8375 or 8372AB (with right part number) to get 2Mb ram and the RAM chips, desoldering the old ones ...<br />

Unless you plan on making heavy use of chip-hungry stuff, I'd consider purchasing an ACA500plus instead.

With the right Agnus (which your rev6 probably already has) you'd get a software-switchable 1MB chip mod, plus quite some extra Fast RAM, a faster 68K, virtual HDD, kickstart flash... way more interesting if you ask me!

What do you want to know? What is your config and does the board work OK?
There is no manual other than what you can find in this thread AFAIK.
