8Bit Screens -> Fullscreen ???
Ok, got a little problem again
![]() I have a game that uses 320x256x8 Bit Picasso96 Screen, so I made a screenmode for that in Picasso96Prefs ! If I open up the game, WinUAE opens the screen but falls into Windowed Mode ! Guess it´s something about windows driver ? Any hope to use this mode fullscreen ? Oh btw. every other 8Bit Screen works fine in Fullscreen from 320x200 to 1024x768 ![]() ![]() |

Might be a driver issue. If you've got the latest nvidia drivers there's even an option to setup custom fullscreen modes.
I know I've had problems with fullscreen winUAE before if I tried using a screen mode which wasn't in the available list of screenmodes. |

You might be able to use a utility like PowerStrip to create custom fullscreen modes. Getting a particular custom resolution to work properly can be a bit of a pain, but if your video card and monitor support them, it makes for a more authentic look.

To each their own, though I've had no difficulties with it myself. Notice though that I said a utility "like PowerStrip", so even if the drivers don't give you the option you need, there may be another tool that could help you out without causing any pain. I just don't know what other utilities may provide the same functionality in a relatively generic fashion. Good luck though!

AFAIK there is no way to build your own screenmodes with the stock nVidia drivers.
But you can download RivaTuner from http://www.guru3d.com/ There is a "Custom Display Modes" Feature. If you are allready there (Guru3D) you can also download nvHardpage to enable some hidden options in the nVidia Prefs. |

It is possible to add custom resolutions with the latest NVidia driver. I have added 640x512 and it works fine. See the screenshot below:

@Duke
Ok, found that settings, but I cannot add 320x256x8 (Invalid Screen Resolution) ![]() I may test some mode promoters on AmigaOS, maybe I can promote this screen to 640x512 (which works fine here too) ..... |

*lol* you are right duke ..
I thought the "add" button would only save a prefered refresh rate for a above selected resolution+frequency ... well .. i should had tried that button *rofl* However ... nvHardPage and RivaTuner are still good tools ![]() |
