It has never been (properly?) cracked, I think. Galahad is trying to pull the bastard apart, but it seems like a toughie!

small question: did you happen to take the screenshot (right half) from a REAL Amiga?

pulley, a 100% crack is in production - perhaps by Christmas. In the meantime, I remembered where that screenshot came from! I remember I'd done one of those for the ST version just for laughs, but the one in this thread was done by Cody from his real Amiga. I'd almost forgotten. Here's another he made.

i'm happy

cool news twistin. i can then hopefully play it over xmas

slightly of the subject but...
my mate was throwing out his amiga and asked if i wanted it.
i mean a mint condition a1200 with an extra external disk drive three boxs of games and art programs.

is it me or was he a little silly, the amiga to me is the best computer EVER. o.k pc's now days have better graphics, some good game play but you can make a game in like three days. where as the amiga still good graphics for what specs it has but the games are so much harder and more fun to play!. my mate and i spent the best part of sixth form eating stacks of toast and playing monkey island. don't you agree?.

silly is an understatement of the century .. he is crazy to throw out his amiga!! .. The good news is he asked if you wanted it and this is where you pounce I agree 100% with you view on amiga games, so much more fun and challenging then the crusty stuff they are producing today.

Agreed. The man was silly, but justified since he passed this jewel on to a loving home that will appreciate it. The same can be said for any retro box, but it just has more substance if it's an Amiga. And I wouldn't say the PC today has better graphics, just a higher spec default. The creative element today is severely diminished, so I often prefer the Amiga gfx. Especially in games. More limitations on a spec forces the user to be more creative - I have found this to be the case in music and film/video production, as well. It doesn't guarantee a better end result, it just offers the possibility if the talent is there in the first place. You'll see this in so many 8-bit games, as well. (and even in the coin-op games)

Now for my off-topic: in the sixth form...I realize this is a grade level designation in Europe (or just the UK?) and my earliest recall of it is in the song "Mary of the Fourth Form" by The Boomtown Rats. Here in the States, we have first grade through 12th grade and those are separated by elementary/grade/grammar school (usually 1-6 grade), junior high school (usually 7, 8 and/or 9th grade) and high school (10-12, sometimes 9th). So what is the equal rankings in Europe/UK?

No pulley your friend is right. Why would anyone want that piece of junk? Just give it to me and I'll properly dispose it.

Mr "I hate Atari St"

Pulley, you can actually play the game on your Atari St emulator. The game is easily found. And, the game was originally developed on the Atari St.

sixth form

in my day at school.

you had 1st year through to 4th year in first school and middle school.
high school had 2nd year through to 4th year, and the last year was 5th form, but the last year i was there they brought in sixth form, kind of like first year of collage, to retake gcse's that you did bad in and to do a few new courses like electronics and the likes. but nowdays it is the same as the states with grades like 7th through to 11th or something like that.
