My First mod - A1200 Tower
Hi All
I was clearing out my loft the other day when I discovered my battered and bruised A1200. Essentially the only thing that still works is the motherboard so I've decided to embark an converting it into a tower. I have already sorted out all the power problems becuase I had an old datel goliath PSU which is basically an old AT PSU with an A1200 connector. I've also converted an old PC floppy drive into an Amiga drive using the internal soldering method. The last few things I need to sort out are IDE cable, keyboard to PS/2 connector and actually housing it all in the case. With regards to keyboard adapters, whats good to go for and where is best to get it? Also, what are the best / cheapest sites for this stuff? Any guidance would be ace Cheers |

A bit expensive, but this is in my opinion your best option:
http://www.vesalia.de/e_pckey[3997].htm Others clip over chips, this one goes in the A1200 motherboard -> keyboard connector. Only problem is that it has the older DIN style connector. I leave this on & fly off wires to a PS2 connector as well. This way if I want to use my A2000 keyboard I can do so without an adaptor. PZ. |
