I posted about this a while ago but it is bugging me again now because winter is upon us, (colder). I get black screen for about 5-15 mins, (depending on room temperature), from first cold boot of amiga. I know the amiga has otherwise ooted normally because I can run things blind from a shell and hear sound, see HD access etc, or see composite output.

The reason I think it is power AND temperature related is that for a few more minutes after the screen does come up, if I do something to draw extra power, like insert a floppy, the screen goes black again for a few secs until disk access is done. After a further short period of warming up, everything is fine.

Indi is fine on all other monitors, monitor is fine with all other video sources. It is not the monitor warming up, if I leave it off while the amiga warms up, then turn it on, screen comes up straight awway.

The A600 has new caps and I've tried several PSUs.

Here's the old thread about this -
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=61717

But since then I have tested other CRTs which don't do this and other PSUs which still show the problem.
You could try from freezer spray to narrow it down. Once its warmed up and working.

Is there any chance of getting the new fix details?
I recently discovered that all my 4 indivision ecs's bought during the 2010, have this ripple issue, when used in my Amiga 500+ mobo rev. 8A with turbocard and Amiga-ATX PSU..
Video of the issue here: [ Show youtube player ]
Now what to do? They all are probably out of warranty period.. Maybe my more experienced Amiga friend could do this fix for me, but where to get the fix details?

Here they are. One of them, but I believe all the four are the same.

Your problems are not related to this thread.
You have an original board. No mod needs to be done.

I would check your PSU / Indi socket.

PSU works fine with other Amigas. Even if I use the Indivision mounted on A604 in A600 with the same PSU picture is clear. It behaves this way only on the A500+..

A600 is different. Hence its clearer. Could still be a psu issue.

Sorry for bringing this old thread up again.
amigoun, could you solve the issue on the A500?
My configuration is A500+, IndiECS, ACA500, ACA1233. The ACA1233 is new and with it I get the same distortions like the ones in the Youtube video above. Without the ACA1233 the picture is perfect.

PSU? maybe the ACA1233 tips it over.

PSU is a 300W be quiet ATX power supply which I am using for a few years now on the Amiga. Never had any problems with this one.

I solved the problem finally, thanks to Jens from Individual Computers. The Problem is that the modern ATX power supply has too much ripple on the 5V rail. There are no graphic corruptions at all when I use my old Amiga power supply (this one can deliver up to 4.5A on the 5V rail).
