Do I need a flicker fixer if using an old Philips monitor?

Does the Amiga still flicker through the RGB port to a Philips CM8833mk2 monitor?

I had one 15 years ago but can not remember if it flickered.

I have seen Amiga displays flickering on old CRT monitors, but that's more likely to be a problem at higher (interlaced) resolutions (Thanks, DDNI!).
