One of my first quiz rounds, in a german puzzle thread with others posting theirs as well.

I don't like looking at it, it doesn't follow the quiz creation rules I have set since then.

Maybe we can have a new one next year...?

I think I'm getting better at using Google image search, it's actually starting to return what I need. You really have to think like a child if you want it to find things.

November Quiz - Clues #2

We are nearing the end of this quiz year, time for some Metroidvania backtracking! Have you really examined all the clues and scoured all the corners of the map to find the remaining games?

So far you can still reach the top 10 with less than 20 points!

The Metroidvania genre is still relatively new and this also applies to the games in this round: Only two of them were released before 2000 (!), three from the 00s, five from the current 20s... and a whole fifteen from the last decade. A complete departure to the Atari quiz of the previous month.

Are you ready for the final batch of clues?

Clues #2:
1) Game 16 is a Japanese indie classic, old enough to order a beer in the UK or Germany. Only three games in this round are older.
2) Number 19 is an 80s sci-fi Metroidvania that has appeared on several computers, but no consoles.
3) If you want to try a different jumping mechanic, you should play title 17. Runs on all modern systems!
4) In game 9 you explore several planets, the name starts with "X".

I did read you can order a drink in a restaurant at 16?

Yeah I already kind of figured that #19 is a computer game. My first instinct was that it was a NES game but even for the NES it is lacking a little detail. But eh... yeah it still eludes me.

Say, is everyone on holiday already? The last weekend of November is upon us and just fifty people have sent in their entries! Three of them from this forum. Now then, because it's almost Christmas.... I bring you presents in the form of a third serving of hints.

And in accordance with the principle of reciprocity, you now have to give me something too, so please join the game. :P

Are you ready for the (really!) last batch of clues?

Clues #3:
1) The first letters of the first three rows, strung together, make the words McAbgast Xatioby.... no, unfortunately I haven't found a nice anagram!
2) Number 7 is originally a game for the Xbox 360, a later update also appeared on other systems.
3) There are also films and/or series for games 2, 8 and 10.
4) Title 12 uses several songs by a well-known black metal band in its soundtrack.

Jeez even the legends have trouble, now I feel better

Well at least my not sures are now pretty sures... and because I now know that game 15 starts with a Y, I have a pretty sure for that one as well...

But the main trouble is as per usual the last row of games, I just don't know man. I can't even find a game as pixelated as #22. And I'm thinking #23 just looks like a fighting game instead of a metroidvania :/ And #24 like an adventure game :/ I feel like I should know #25, but I just don't.
