Does anybody have this tool? The link in exotica doesn't work, and I couldn't find it in Aminet.

nother version might suffice, dunno.

Requirements: OS 2.04+
Description: MidiTracker is a MIDI Sequencer that uses the "tracker" concept for composing songs, hence the name. Unlike other tracker programs that have MIDI capabilities, this program has been designed specifically for MIDI composing and doesn't use any Amiga audio (except for the metronome). If you have used trackers before, then it shouldn't take you too long to get accustomed.

Akira I've found it. It works on WinUAE but it aint work on a real amiga500 (or amiga500+) Hmm... I just ordered an Amiga1200 with HD (yes they are still sold *new* in holland).. anyway i hope it will work on that machine.. until then i just hang to MED

oh yeah, about miditracker : I'm going to try to put it in the zone for you.

So many years later, but doesn't someone still have this miditracker 1.2.5 that they could put in The Zone?

i have songs trapped in this miditracker format.

Find in the Zone MIDITRACKER 1.2 . It's the only one I have, sorry, don't have any of the updates, but it might open your files anyway!

Maybe someone else does have the updates and can upload them to the Zone?

1.21, 1.22, 1.24, 1.25 and 1.26 were updates to 1.2. all updates needs 1.2 as base installation. 1.23 was skiped.

thanks everyone, i'll try 1.2 on another system and hope file formats didn't change. before, 1.2 crashed anytime i tried to load anything.

the aminet version 1.2 is working in demo mode, not so sure what it restricted.
it is looking for miditracker-key. the changes file talkes about demo mode too:

  if MT was running unregistered.

i dont have such key, just collecting information.

Well that was easy, thanks for the guidance. Uploaded to the Zone so feel free to grab.

I worked with Sven as a beta tester/designer of MT so I have most versions. The (poor) english Amiga guide is also my work.

two more questions: did you saw 1.2.6 too? you still have contact to Sven - i do ask because of the keyfile. maybe we can convince him to release a free key ?

I never saw 1.2.6 but I have dropped him an email to ask about that and a free key. I haven't spoken to him since 2006 so lets see.

I have the MT song file format documentation if that's of any help.
