MidiTracker 1.2.5
Does anybody have this tool? The link in exotica doesn't work, and I couldn't find it in Aminet.
nother version might suffice, dunno. Thanks in advance! oh, more data, lifted from eXotica (BuZZ do you have this program? Can you up it to The Zone?) Author(s): Sven Thoennissen ( svent {at} pool.informatik.rwth-aachen.de ) (<<< dunno if it works or not, probably not, didn't receive reply yet) Updated: 09/02/1999 Requirements: OS 2.04+ Description: MidiTracker is a MIDI Sequencer that uses the "tracker" concept for composing songs, hence the name. Unlike other tracker programs that have MIDI capabilities, this program has been designed specifically for MIDI composing and doesn't use any Amiga audio (except for the metronome). If you have used trackers before, then it shouldn't take you too long to get accustomed. Features: * Dynamic pattern size * Unlimited number of tracks per instrument * Supports all 128 controlsources * Sample Dump Standard support so you can upload/download samples (8bit or 16bit) to your synth or sampler via MIDI * Controlsource Graphical Display that allows parameter editing with your mouse * Support for any synth you wish! * Channelscope mixer to adjust the volumes of all midi channels independently * Ability to import ProTracker and OctaMED MMD1 modules * Ability to import/export Standard-MIDI-Files (*.mid) * A 16bit sample editor to edit/upload sample dumps or samples you get from CDs or the net * Gadgethelp (Kickstart 3.x only) * Many Hotkeys for quick access to commands * XPK compression * Locale support (Kickstart 3.x only) * An ARexx port * Stacker / Remapper to redirect midi data to different midi channels, create instrument stacks and act as a software midi patchbay * Midi Time Code support * Trigger Actions by playing your keyboard * Versatile Midi Filters for both input and output * Can play Samples with additional Sample-player software! * Backtracking of controlsources Note: For a complete installation you need the Public v1.2 version of MidiTracker. # Download: MidiTracker 1.2.5 (beta) (<<< no worky) # Links: Official HomePage (<<< no worky) Last edited by Amiga1992; 20 March 2005 at 05:18. |

archive.org got 1.2.5, but their server is down at the moment ( The machine that serves this file is down. We're working on it.)
original link came from old.exotica.org.uk Edit. archive.org still gives this "BUMMER... we are working on it" when accessing the mt125.lha link. there was a 1.2.6 update: look here Code:
Files for downloading Some archives are marked for beta testing purposes. These versions of MidiTracker are only slightly tested and might damage your data! Here's the releases of MidiTracker for downloading: 17 Oct 1999 mt126.lha - (89K) Update 09 Feb 1999 mt125.lha - BETA! (167K) You need version 1.2 for a complete installation. 27 Feb 1998 mt123.lha - BETA! (103K) This version has proven crap so there is no link to it. 31 Dec 1997 mt122.lha - BETA! (99K) You need version 1.2 for a complete installation. 26 Nov 1997 mt121.lha - BETA! (98K) You need version 1.2 for a complete installation. 04 Nov 1997 MidiTracker 1.2 - Full archive (342K) Other files: 17 Oct 1999 changes.txt Changes up to now. This is the same file as found in the archives Last edited by emufan; 03 November 2012 at 12:06. Reason: d/l-able file-list from archived website |

Find in the Zone MIDITRACKER 1.2 . It's the only one I have, sorry, don't have any of the updates, but it might open your files anyway!
Maybe someone else does have the updates and can upload them to the Zone? |

Would't 121 be an update to what I posted, which is 1.2?

1.21, 1.22, 1.24, 1.25 and 1.26 were updates to 1.2. all updates needs 1.2 as base installation. 1.23 was skiped.
look at attached changes_1.2.6.txt |

the aminet version 1.2 is working in demo mode, not so sure what it restricted.
it is looking for miditracker-key. the changes file talkes about demo mode too: Code:
1.2.4 ----- - The "force_demo" flag was accidentally set, so MT was neglecting any keyfile :-( 1.2.3 ----- - There was a possibility to get around the song length limit of 10 patterns if MT was running unregistered. |

Well that was easy, thanks for the guidance. Uploaded to the Zone so feel free to grab.
I worked with Sven as a beta tester/designer of MT so I have most versions. The (poor) english Amiga guide is also my work. ![]() Scott |

![]() two more questions: did you saw 1.2.6 too? you still have contact to Sven - i do ask because of the keyfile. maybe we can convince him to release a free key ? ![]() |

I never saw 1.2.6 but I have dropped him an email to ask about that and a free key. I haven't spoken to him since 2006 so lets see.
I have the MT song file format documentation if that's of any help. |

thanks for emailing him. upload the fileformat docs too - they may also find a good home on an amiga music preservation website.
