HOL equivalent for applications?
Has anyone ever taken up such a project to catalogue Amiga applications?

The software section on classicamiga.com is of that style but incomplete.

It would be great to have something like this for Amiga applications.

Amiga Future’s database is a little harder to navigate and doesn’t have as much detail per entry, but there’s a *huge* number of records in it. I’d guess that nearly every commercial program ever written is in it. |

Thanks amiwolf and Matt_H.
The Amiga Future database is more than "a little harder to navigate" unfortunately, although that's probably because it's built as part of the whole phpBB system (which has sucked even at the best of times). I wish we could have the functionality of the ClassicAmiga.com catalogue with the details of the AF database. Would be great if manual scans, etc. were available (I see text files supposedly of software manuals on the Classic Amiga catalogue, but not actual scans). I've started considering what it would take to build a better catalogue than either of these sites, although it probably won't come to anything. |

The simplest solution would be update software database at classicamiga.com, but how? I can't even register there.

I have identified a shortcoming with Classic Amiga's database and that's the lack of proper version support. Neither it nor the AF database handle collections/bundles/suites either.

An application Hol would be very welcome, with photos and info.. But a big task, especially if you want people involved somehow and a easy but nice interface.
