Question How to install ClassicWB?

Hi guys!

How it goes? Pls, I would like to know how I can install the "Classic Workbench 68K". I have OS 3.1 installed & I would like to upgrade to "ClassicWB 68K". But I can't find any tutorial.

I would appreciate any help.

PD. WinUAE.

THANKS IN ADVANCE.

There is instruction in ClassicWB download iirc.

It is simple, attach System disk, if you are going to use WB3.1, it will prompt you to install disk to DF0 at appropriate time and it will update.

While WinUAE is running (if you are using WinUAE) End + F1 will open 'Attach ADF' windows. Once all done (you will go through all 6 floppy images from WB3.1) you can click Shift + END + F1 - this will eject floppy image from WinUAE.

Once you reboot, your installation should be complete.

BTW, there might be some questions you need to answer, and this is just to customize ClassicWB. IIRC you should be able to enable/disable any options once you are logged in.

Thank you so much for your reply, Anubis.

I already have WB 3.1 installed. I mean how to upgrade to "ClassicWB 68k". The zip file (ClassicWB) contains an HDF file and ADF file. But there are no instructions.

Hi you only need to mount the HDF file, run WinUAE and insert the WB3.1 ADFs as prompted. There's no way to upgrade an existing workbench installation.

Instructions are on ClassicWB site - here: http://classicwb.abime.net/classicweb/instructions.htm

It might slightly vary between different versions, but it is mostly very similar for all of them.
