I've just finished this game but I couldn't find any version that shows the ending. It simply keeps asking for Disk A... and that's all.

Didn't Wings of Death have this like "Game Museum" somewhere in the backdrop, or something like that? Filled with these tiny homage items in glass cases?!? What was it? aaah, memory loss

That was halfway through level one at a point called "The Hall of Artifacts".

It had gfx from other games like Xenon ship etc.
