Why can't I access the Zone?

If you've come here for the answer to this question read the FAQ

RCK - is there any reason why members can't automatically be given access to the Zone when they sign up to EAB? After all it's not a special privilege. And why not just run a script that sets all current members to have access too? Then you'll get no more 'Why can't I access the Zone?' questions.

... and Bippym and Akira will be very happy too

. . I think it has something to do with ppl registering just to leech!

Though I'm not 100% certain.. check older posts I'm sure RCK explained why back then!

When a new user is registering, we are sending him one email telling him to read the FAQ.
Moreover if a user read a bit the board or even ask, he will know how to access the zone.

This restriction is mainly here to prevent bot created account to have access to the zone, and to detect lazy member

If that is the case however, ANY lamer that asks for access to the zone should NOT receive a reply and simply have the message (usually a complete new thread) deleted. Everytime a kind member like Cody replies to these people it means another person will do exactly the same.

Please moderators, just ignore/delete these posts. If they can't read the FAQ then they don't deserve to receive a reply.
