A4000 Memory expansion
I am looking for a memory expansion-only board for my A4000. I know they have been a few Zorro cards. I would prefer one that uses 72 pin SIMMs as I have 2*32 MBs of them.

iirc, the only purely memory zorro boards took individual chips to a maximum of 8 MB (the zorro address space limit).
If you want to use simms and have more memory you will need an A4000 accellerator (040 or 060, don't bother with 030 unless it's REALLY CHEAP), I recommend the CyberStorm 060 MkII (Phase IV version), I've had one for years with no problems. It will take 4x32Mb 72 pin simms ![]() The best place to look for one is in the phone book under 'rocking horse sh*t' or 'hens teeth' ![]() or http://www.Amibench.org you might be lucky... |

There are two purely memory 32 bit Zorro III cards:
DKB 3128 four 72 pin SIMM sockets can take 4, 8, 16, 32 MB SIMMs for a total maximum of 128 MB Progressive Peripherals ProRAM 3000 sixteen 30 pin SIMM sockets can take 1 or 4 MB SIMMs for a maximum of 64 MB |
