Hai from sunny Weymouth
Hello all. I am in sunny Weymouth (south Dorset, UK).
I have been an Amigan since the A1000 seduced me in 1989! I have had all but the A3000 since then, but sold my beloved A4000/040 in 2005. Now I have the Amiga bug again as a few of my siblings also have the nostalgia bug for some gaming (Dynablaster, Micro Machines, Lords of Chaos, Lotus II, Stunt Car Racer etc). I am running Batocera on my Celeron laptop. Have had a wonderful couple of days playing with it's vast configs, and had a few whoopsies (my excuse is that I am on lots of meds and Morphine too ) I just love tinkering and enjoy the challenges. I am saving to grab me a nice refurbed 1200 when I have enough coin. (Yeh I am still playing The Witcher 3 on my PC). I am always open to throwing my opinions in when peeps need help and am never shy about asking my own questions too, I am mad about Gaming on the PC and on the Amiga. I have four kittys and a flight simulator mad husband. See you in the forums folks Rachel |

I never knew about Batocera. I'll have to read more into it. |

I am so stoked with its performance that I am thinking of installing on a fresh Nvme disk in my PC (which is a bit of a beast and is hooked up to my 4K TV). Further and further down the rabbit hole I go…. |

Batocera is a great emu OS/package. Set it up on old i5 box and runs nicely

Welcome Rachel!
You should check out the radio rallies as they sometimes have computers (I picked up a working Plus/4 for £40 and there was an Amiga 1200 for £120 at the rally near me I went to at Princethorpe A few examples here: https://www.nationalhamfest.org.uk/ http://www.g4rga.org.uk/All.html I love Weymouth and have been a few times as well as getting my RYS sailing one with the sea cadets there in 1993! |
