Selecting audio codec crashes WinUAE

EDIT: I got a workaround by installing a 32-Bit version of Winuae. Still puzzling though.

Hi folks,

WinUAE keeps crashing every time I click on choosing an audio codec on the Output tab. There's no list or options, it just straight crashes as soon as it's clicked on. I want to record some videos, but my usual recorder (Fraps) doesn't even recognise WinUAE, and obviously I need to select a codec if I want sound from the native recorder (it looks like it's default set to no coded selected).

I've updated to the latest version of WinUAE, made sure all the system stuff is up to date, and tried every option in the sound tab.

Nothing works.

It makes a crash Minidump, but I've no idea what it means.

I'm using an older PC (Win 7, 64-Bit) but I don't see how that could cause an issue if everything works fine elsewhere?

Thanks!

You should include your UAE config file as well.

Start with "winuae.exe -log", let it crash and post the output.
There's probably a codec installed that WinUAE doesn't like.

Probably bad codec. Try 32-bit version first.

EDIT: looks like 32-bit solved it. It almost guarantees you have at least one bad codec that crashes when querying its capabilities.

That's good to know, thanks for the confirmation. I'll try to sort it out with the 64-Bit version and report back just in case anyone else has this issue.
