IK+ sound effects not working
As I thought it could have something to do with the version, I tried the (rarely seen) non-tosec trained version by Alpha Flight. (=> zone)
After pressing F3 in the game to turn off the music, you should hear "punch" sound effects, but you don't, just a kind of "plops". "Punch" sound comes on my real miggy with this version, though. Someone else even reported this here, but due to the search function being virtually broken atm I was unable to find the thread... |

As i type this, IK+ is happily running in the background with music disabled (F3) and the sound effects are playing. Running WinUAE 1.0 using default settings (I think :-).
The adf is a compilation by someone called 'Astronut of the Attic'. It has IK+, Snakepit and a nasty Centipede clone called P.T.C on it. Just tried the version you put in the Zone. It is working fine for me as well. Last edited by Sune Salminen; 26 July 2005 at 00:12. |

hehe- I think this same problem cropped up on a beta of winfellow, been fixed now though ;-) ... unsure why it cropped up though! , maybe increase /decrease the sound buffer?

OK, I was unaware of the fact that with this game, you need cycle-exact mode for SOUND!
I thought it's only for graphics and blitter things; but it's also influencing things beyond that! All things settled. This useless thread may be deleted. |
