Old games and file conversions
Hi all nice to meet you. Is it possible to improve the resolution to say Birds of Prey, or F117A? I don,t just mean a bigger screen, I mean add some info to the disk so it actually runs at say, 1920x1080? I,m no whizzkid and i,m just getting back in to Amiga, first played some of these games back in the early 90s, now i,m running UAE. The gameplay of the early games, was in my opinion, mesmerizing but the graphics let them down to a degree. Also is it possible to convert Rp9 files back in to Adf? Cheers! Gordywill

You can do this in PlayStation emulators but never with Amiga. You may try with filters or scanlines only. Try CRT display is you have any.

The original graphics in old games are low res, it doesn't matter what you do they will always be low res unless they are redrawn again. Emulators and filters etc, all they do is stretch and manipulate what is provided in an effort to make it look less pixelated and blocky when the resolution is increased.

.rp9 files are for Amigaforever, and yes, they are a type of zip file. You can extract the adf's. hdf's out of them for use in WinUAE.
