Megalomania- Ending

Did anyone finish Megalomania back in the day and have a good memory?

I completed a cracked version way back when and I remember after conquering the very last epoch / mission the game just went into a continuous loop saying the same bit of sampled speech ‘it’s all over’

Was this the actual ending or something left behind in the copy protection that was never noticed?

Basically, is there a proper ending or was it supposed to just do that?

Thanks.

Edit: was playing on actual stock hardware way back then. I’ve read posts for people using it in WinUAE and having issues on level 2 but this was the end.
